These are the most common pallet racking systems, each with its own philosophy of use and advantages. What pallet racking system does your warehouse have and what are some of its benefits? This racking system is nearly identical to drive-in, except that it’s designed to push forward pallets. With a drive-in system, pallets at the rear of the rack it will stay there. With a push back system, pallets placed at the back of the rack will be pushed forward to the front as pallets in the front are removed. When loading a push back rack, all pallets can be loaded in the front with no need to place palletized loads in the rear, as is the case with some other racking systems. This loading and unloading system is similar to how many beverage coolers in grocery stores work, as you pull drinks out of the cooler more are pushed forward into place.
